LeeAnn’s commitment to the study of yoga and meditation includes regular practice with experienced Iyengar teachers Jeri Hudak and Marla Apt, participation in a Yoga Sutra study group, and membership in the Palouse Zen Community. As a professor at Washington State University, where she teaches literature, mythology, and the health humanities, LeeAnn explores how people make meaning of their lives, navigate difficulty, and cultivate resilience. These same questions inform her approach to yoga, which is rooted in curiosity, reflection, and respect for the many ways people come to practice. She values yoga as both a personal practice and a source of community, and seeks to create classes that are welcoming, supportive, and accessible.
